Sarah

Sarah began dancing with the KW RSCDS Branch in 2015 after searching for an adult dance class that followed the skill-based structure of the dance classes she participated in throughout her childhood.  She joined for the joy of developing new skills. She stayed because of the strong community connections. Sarah most enjoys sharing the history of Scottish Country Dancing through the story telling often represented by our dances.  She began teaching in 2022 and is committed to preserving the art of Scottish Country Dancing through step and formation practice to enhance the skills of the dancers. The beautiful thing about Scottish Country Dancing is that dancers can take from it whatever they put into it. If a dancer wants to work on their dance steps, perfect their formations, or simply just connect with others through the dance, they can do so. Everyone can set their own goals, while improving their mental and physical health.
